We had a wonderful time during our Christmas break at this beautiful accommodation. The first thing that struck us was the stunning location and lovely views of the countryside. It was so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect getaway. The accommodation itself was absolutely superb, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they even provided a Welcome Basket with some treats, including a bottle of wine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also loved that we could take our dog for walks down to the nearby field for a game of fetch. it was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to visit again.
Honestly, it's hard to find any negatives about our stay. The only thing worth mentioning is that since it is a self-service accommodation, you won't have the experience of hotel staff catering to your every need.

I always stay at a cozy barn in Herstmonceux. Staff kindly helped with currency exchange. Wi-Fi, free parking, fishing, and pet-friendly. Perfect for my city trips. No regrets.

We had a fantastic stay at Chilsham Barn! As travelers from Australia, we were delighted by the close proximity to walking trails and attractions in the UK. The historical charm of the barn was impeccable, with a clean and functional design. The hosts went above and beyond to cater to guests, despite it being self-service. The peacefulness of the location and stunning countryside views were an absolute treat. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, providing everything we needed. The hosts' friendliness and helpfulness were unmatched. The Welcome Basket, especially the wine, was a delightful touch. We will definitely be recommending this unique venue to our friends!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming barn in the UK countryside. the location was ideal, with beautiful views and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. We also appreciated the self-service aspect, as it allowed us the freedom to explore and enjoy the area at our own pace. we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue to anyone traveling from Australia or elsewhere!
It felt like our own home, there was really nothing to complain about.
